Continuing its series of onsite monitoring visits, the CHED-CAR UniFAST Unit together with the UniFAST Secretariat Staff visited Benguet State University (BSU) on April 21, 2023, and settled issues regarding their liquidation reports. The BSU team, despite the holiday, met with the team and cooperated for the smooth conduct of the said visit.
True to its commitment to champion accessible and relevant education services in the Cordillera Administrative Region, the CHED-CAR UniFAST Unit joined the UniFAST Secretariat for an onsite checking of liquidation documents for the Tertiary Education Subsidy Program or TES of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) with no submission and/or with compliance issues. On April 19, 2023, the team visited Ifugao State University (IFSU) and settled issues regarding their liquidation reports.
In another boost to champion accessible and relevant education services in the Region, the CHED-CAR UniFAST team led by Ms. Menzie O. Kuengan, OIC – Chief Education Program Specialist, and Dr. Bernadette C. Pal-ec, UniFAST Focal Person, visited Benguet State University (BSU) for the conduct of orientation for its Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) grantees on April 17, 2023, at BSU Closed Gymnasium, La Trinidad, Benguet. A total of 370 grantees attended the said program and were oriented on the different provisions of their financial assistance.
Thirty-seven (37) beneficiaries under the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) Program of the University of the Cordilleras (UC) received their stipends for the First Semester of School Year 2022-2023 on April 18, 2023, at the UC Sanctuary, Baguio City. Their stipends amounting to Php 20,000.00 were given to support the cost of tertiary education of the beneficiaries.
100 grantees under the Tulong Dunong Program (TDP-TES) of Kalinga State University received their stipends for both semesters of School Year (SY) 2021-2022 and the first semester of SY 2022-2023 on April 18, 2023, at KSU Student Center, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga. Their stipend amounting to Php 7,500.00 per semester was given to aid the grantees with their tertiary education expenses.
