Takilya sa Akademya is a short film festival conducted by the CHED-CAR UniFAST Unit highlighting the journey of beneficiaries of programs under RA 10931 or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.

Specifically, it aims to achieve the following objectives:

1. Serve as platform for creative ideas; artistry; ingenuity in storytelling; development of talent and skill through film production and desire to communicate thoughts and concepts vis-a-vis the realities of today.
2. Promote film production as a tradition in documenting realities, developments, successes, innovations and aspirations in Higher Education.
3. Showcase the real-life stories of student/households/communities and how R.A. 10931 impacted them; and
4. Promote the concept of life-long learning and the importance of Higher Education.
