Widening reach to ensure inclusivity of quality tertiary education in the Cordillera, the Commission on Higher Education – CAR joined the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development – Benguet Province during the conduct of its Forum on RA 11861 or the Expanded Solo Parent Welfare Act last June 29, 2023, at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Hall, Capitol, Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet. The forum intends to disseminate the different programs and opportunities rendered by the government to solo parents.
The Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region through its UniFAST Unit conducted the third episode of this year’s series of the SEED Project or the Skills Enhancement and Employee Development Project on June 22, 2023, via Zoom platform. A total of 282 participants composed of the staff of the Regional Office, UniFAST Focal Persons from different Higher Education Institutions in the Region and their colleagues attended the said episode with the topic “Mental Health in the Workplace.”

With the theme “Honoring God’s Supremacy through Strengthening Family Solidarity,” representatives from CHED-CAR joined the Family Day of LFNHS attended by the parents, students, and invited barangay officials.

The Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region through its UniFAST Unit continues its series of learning and development webinars dubbed the SEEDLING Project or Skills Enhancement, Engagement, and Development: A Learning Intervention to Nurture Grantees. On May 26, 2023, the unit conducted the third episode of the series focusing on overcoming public speaking anxiety. The webinar entitled Quest – A Journey Towards Confidence and Eloquence was able to give strategies and tips to PINASkolars on how they can develop the skills and confidence to communicate effectively in academic, professional, and personal settings.
