
The Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR), through its UniFAST Unit, convened its second quarter meeting with representatives from various higher education institutions (HEIs) across the region on June 25, 2026, at Travelite Hotel in Baguio City. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Bernadette C. Pal-ec, Education Supervisor II and Head of the UniFAST Unit.

The Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR), through its UniFAST Unit, successfully conducted the second episode of the Skills Enhancement and Employee Development (SEED) Project titled “Bridging Communication Through Filipino Sign Language” on June 25, 2026, at Travelite Hotel along Legarda Road, Baguio City.

As part of its recalibrated implementation of Project PEPA in the Cordillera Administrative Region, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR), through its UniFAST Unit, turned over 8,000 copies of brochures on Republic Act 10931, or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA), along with 1,000 flyers on the Bagong Pilipinas Merit Scholarship Program. The IEC materials were formally turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development – CAR through its 4Ps Division, headed by Ms. Fatima Florendo, with Ms. Fe Biba of the 4Ps Regional Advisory Council Secretariat also in attendance.

Bringing vital education updates straight to the airwaves, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR), through its UniFAST Unit, aired UAQTEA Time in Ifugao via Radyo Kiphodan and Lamut FM on June 2 and 3, 2026, reaching communities with timely information and inspiring success stories.

As part of its month-long celebration of Higher Education Week, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR), through its UniFAST Unit, successfully conducted the first episode of the SEEDLING Project 2026 Series on May 28, 2026, via an online platform. The episode, titled “Impact Beyond Grant: Leading Change in Your Community,” gathered 234 participants.
