As part of its commitment to champion accessible and relevant education services in the Cordillera, the CHED-CAR UniFAST Team led by Dr. Bernadette C. Pal-ec, Education Supervisor II and the UniFAST Focal Person, visited Mountain Province for the conduct of the orientation for the new grantees for the Tulong Dunong Program or TDP-TES on February 23, 2023. Held at Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC), a total of 151 new TDP-TES grantees attended the orientation program wherein provisions regarding their financial assistance were thoroughly presented. Adherence to the project initiatives of the Regional Office like the SEEDLING Project and Project SAGIP was also conveyed.
As part of its mandate to champion universal access to quality tertiary education, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region UniFAST Unit met with the UniFAST Focal Persons of the different campuses of Ifugao State University last February 16, 2023. The team led by Dr. Bernadette C. Pal-ec, Education Supervisor II and UniFAST Focal Person, monitored implementation of the Tertiary Education Subsidy Program (TES) and Tulong Dunong Program (TDP-TES) of the said institution.
A total of 56 new grantees for the Tulong Dunong Program or TDP-TES from Ifugao State University (IFSU) attended the orientation program held on February 16, 2023, at IFSU Cultural Heritage Hall, IFSU, Lamut, Ifugao. The said orientation is in consonance with the mandate of the Regional Office in championing accessible and relevant education services to the Cordilleran Youth as Dr. Bernadette C. Pal-ec, Education Supervisor II and UniFAST Focal Person, presented the overview of the Republic Act No. 10931 or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.
To further champion accessible and relevant education services, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region UniFAST Unit conducted an orientation program to the grantees under the Tulong Dunong Program or TDP-TES of the Kalinga Province on February 08, 2023, at Kalinga State University – Main Campus, Tabuk City, Kalinga. A total of 497 grantees from Kalinga State University, Kalinga College of Science and Technology (KCST), International School of Asia and the Pacific – Kalinga (ISAP-Kalinga), Saint Louis College of Bulanao (SLCB), Saint Tonis College (STC), and Cordillera A+ Computer Technology (CA+CT) attended the said orientation program.
To ensure universal access to quality tertiary education in the Kalinga Province, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region UniFAST Unit completed the monitoring of Tertiary Education Subsidy Program (TES) and Tulong Dunong Program (TDP-TES) among the higher education institutions on February 08-09, 2023.
