Continuing its commitment to champion accessible and relevant education services for the Cordilleran youth, CHED-CAR visited Cordillera Regional Science High School on April 22, 2024, to conduct a session of the Project ACCESS or Acquainting In-Coming College Entrants on Scholarships and Grants-in-Aid System. Project ACCESS, a brainchild project of CHED-CAR Regional Director Demetrio P. Anduyan Jr, serves as CHED-CAR’s official Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign dedicated to providing comprehensive information and guidance to potential college entrants, ensuring they are well-informed about available scholarships and grants-in-aid programs.

Dr. Ma. Geraldine F. Casipit, the Chief Education Program Specialist of CHED-CAR, commenced the program. Subsequently, Mr. Jay Van P. Basilio, Project Technical Staff of the StuFAPs Unit, delivered an orientation on the CHED Merit-Based Scholarship Program. Ms. Jezeny O. Laoyan, Lead Regional Coordinator for UniFAST, then elaborated on the programs established under RA 10931, also known as the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.

Following these presentations, an open forum was conducted, moderated by Regional Coordinator Joefrence S. Yangyang. The program concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Menzie O. Kuengan, the Supervising Education Program Specialist of CHED-CAR.

This session of the Project ACCESS is part of the services of CHED-CAR for the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in Benguet.
