
The Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR), through its UniFAST Unit, successfully conducted the first episode of the 2024 series of the SEEDLING Project, known as Skills Enhancement, Engagement, and Development: A Learning Intervention to Nurture Grantees, on April 30, 2024, via online. Nearly 200 participants attended the episode, which focused on Cybersecurity Awareness and Responsible Social Media Practices.
Continuing its commitment to champion accessible and relevant education services for the Cordilleran youth, CHED-CAR visited Cordillera Regional Science High School on April 22, 2024, to conduct a session of the Project ACCESS or Acquainting In-Coming College Entrants on Scholarships and Grants-in-Aid System. Project ACCESS, a brainchild project of CHED-CAR Regional Director Demetrio P. Anduyan Jr, serves as CHED-CAR’s official Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign dedicated to providing comprehensive information and guidance to potential college entrants, ensuring they are well-informed about available scholarships and grants-in-aid programs.
As part of its services for the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in Benguet, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region visited Benguet National High School on April 22, 2024, to conduct Project ACCESS, which stands for Acquainting In-Coming College Entrants on Scholarships and Grants-in-Aid System. The Senior High School students at BeNHS were introduced to various financial assistance programs offered by CHED and UniFAST.

CHED Chairperson J. Prospero “Popoy” De Vera and CHED-CAR Regional Director Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan Jr. joined the opening program of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in Benguet at the Benguet State University Closed Gymnasium, La Trinidad, Benguet, on April 21, 2024, to lead the ceremonial turnover of grants for beneficiaries of the Student Monetary Assistance for Recovery and Transition (SMART) Program and Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) Program.

CHED-CAR joined the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in Benguet on April 21, 2024, for the orientation and awarding of Notices of Award to the new grantees of the Tulong Dunong Program under the Tertiary Education Subsidy endorsed through the ISIP Scholarship Program of Cong. Eric Yap. Dr. Bernadette C. Pal-ec, ES II and the UniFAST Focal Person, provided an overview of the program and outlined the roles and responsibilities of the new grantees.
