
January marks Zero Waste Month pursuant to Proclamation No. 760, series of 2014, and the Commission on Higher Education β Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR) is reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability through the strict observance of sustainable office practices and the elimination of single-use plastics within its premises.

Continuing its commitment to professional development and innovation in higher education, CHED-UniFAST CAR wrapped up its 2025 SEED Project (Skills Enhancement and Employee Development) Series, a regional initiative, with the fourth and final episode on Smart Work Automation: Streamlining Processes for Efficiency and Excellence on December 17, 2025, at Geverβs Hall, Saint Louis University, Baguio City. The event gathered UniFAST Focal Persons and Registrars from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the Cordillera region for an interactive session focused on leveraging automation and technology to enhance efficiency and promote excellence in higher education administration.

CHED-UniFAST CAR capped off its 2025 SEEDLING Project Series with a dynamic and interactive session on Design Thinking held on December 12, 2025, via Zoom and Facebook Live, bringing together 229 student-grantees for an enriching online learning experience.

The Commission on Higher Education β Cordillera Administrative Region held its turnover ceremony on November 14, 2025, with Outgoing Regional Director Dr. Jimmy G. Catanes formally passing on the leadership to Incoming OIC Regional Director Dr. Serafin L. Ngohayon.
