
Continuing its outreach efforts to ensure that senior high school learners are well informed about higher education opportunities, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED‑CAR) conducted Project ACCESS at Ifugao Technical Vocational School (ITVS) in Lamut, Ifugao, on March 27, 2026, while en route back to La Trinidad, Benguet.

Going the extra mile to bring government education programs closer to learners in geographically challenged areas, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED‑CAR) conducted Project ACCESS at Namulditan Senior High School (NSHS) in Hingyon, Ifugao, on March 27, 2026. The activity engaged Grade 11 and Grade 12 learners, together with their teachers, to provide timely information on higher education opportunities and scholarship programs.

In line with the national government’s call to bridge information gaps that hinder many Filipinos from accessing higher education, the Commission on Higher Education – Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (CHED-UniFAST) Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) successfully conducted Project “Patuloy na Edukasyon, Patuloy na Pag-Ahon” (PEPA) on March 26, 2026, at the Banaue Municipal Gymnasium, Banaue, Ifugao.

Bringing together key partners in student financial assistance, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR) UniFAST Unit convened its First Quarter Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Coordination Meeting with partner higher education institutions (HEIs) on March 24, 2026, at The Orchard Hotel, Baguio City. The quarterly meeting is a regular gathering of the Unit which aims to assess program implementation, review accomplishments and challenges, strengthen coordination with partner HEIs, and set strategic directions to further enhance the delivery of UniFAST programs in the region.

The CHED-CAR UniFAST Unit marked another milestone in its advocacy and information dissemination initiatives with the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the implementation of the UAQTEA Time Program on Radio Kabinnulig of the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST).
