
As part of its annual monitoring efforts, CHED-UniFAST CAR visited the Project SAGIP implementation sites of various higher education institutions (HEIs) in Kalinga from April 22 to 24, 2025. The visit showcased the commitment of both students and institutions to sustainable practices and environmental stewardship.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Unified Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST) in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) successfully concluded its thorough monitoring of six higher education institutions (HEIs) in Kalinga from April 22 to 24, 2025. This initiative is part of CHED-UniFAST CAR’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of financial assistance programs under Republic Act No. 10931, also known as the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act. These programs are designed to enhance access to quality education by providing financial support to eligible students.

In line with its ongoing efforts to strengthen advocacy and promotional initiatives, CHED-UniFAST CAR is expanding its partnerships with local media outlets. This strategic move aims to enhance public understanding of Republic Act No. 10931, widely known as the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA). Through these collaborations, CHED-UniFAST CAR seeks to amplify its outreach efforts, ensuring that the transformative opportunities offered by UAQTEA reach a broader audience.

On April 24, 2025, CHED-UniFAST CAR conducted an orientation for the new Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) beneficiaries enrolled in the University of the Cordilleras (UC).

On April 10, 2025, CHED-UniFAST CAR conducted an orientation for student-grantees from Baguio College of Technology (BCT) under the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and Tulong Dunong Program (TDP).
