By: Delaila Irma T. Calindas, Project Technical Staff II
The implementation of student financial assistance programs remains a critical component of ensuring equitable access to quality higher education. To strengthen program delivery and compliance, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR), through its UniFAST Unit, conducted its annual monitoring visit at Benguet State University (BSU) – Bokod Campus on October 1, 2026.
The monitoring team was led by Dr. Bernadette C. Pal-ec, Education Supervisor II and Head of the UniFAST Unit, together with Regional Coordinators Jurcell V. Dilla and Jennylyn G. Pataras. The activity aimed to assess the institution’s implementation of programs under the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA), ensure compliance with established guidelines, and provide technical assistance for the effective delivery of UniFAST-funded benefits to students.
The activity underscores CHED-CAR’s commitment to promoting accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement in the delivery of government-funded higher education assistance programs.
