Continuing its series of orientations across the Cordillera Administrative Region, CHED-UniFAST CAR visited Saint Louis University (SLU) on October 2, 2025, to conduct an orientation session for the latest batch of beneficiaries under the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) program.

Dr. Stephanie O. Busbus, Director of the Office of Global Relations, Alumni Affairs, and Scholarship Programs (OGRAASP) of SLU, warmly welcomed the participants and expressed appreciation for the continued partnership with CHED-UniFAST in promoting accessible and equitable tertiary education.

A total of 43 beneficiaries attended the session, joined by representatives from the university’s scholarship office.

Ms. Jezeny O. Laoyan, Lead Regional Coordinator of CHED-UniFAST CAR, led the presentation and discussed the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (RA 10931), along with the guidelines, benefits, and responsibilities of TES grantees.

The Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) is one of the major components of the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, which provides financial assistance to qualified Filipino students to help them pursue and complete their higher education.

This batch of beneficiaries, effective in the First Semester of Academic Year 2024–2025, will receive ₱13,500 each per semester in support of their educational expenses, reinforcing the government’s commitment to making quality tertiary education accessible to all.

Through this activity, CHED-UniFAST CAR reaffirmed its commitment to guiding and empowering student-grantees toward academic success.
