By: Delaila Irma T. Calindas, Project Technical Staff II

The CHED-UniFAST CAR team convened with representatives of Apayao State College, headed by its President Dr. John Cabansag, on May 6, 2025, to conduct the annual monitoring of the program implementation under RA 10931, known as the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.

Composing the team were Regional Coordinators Ms. Marife B. Calimodag, Ms. Jennylyn G. Pataras, and Mr. Lemuel V. Refuerzo. The team conducted brief orientations to the personnel, reviewed liquidation submissions, and held discussions with key personnel from each institution. The primary objective was to assess the implementation of the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES), Tulong Dunong Program (TDP), and regional initiatives like the Project SAGIP.

A significant component of the meeting was the ratification of the Memorandum of Agreement for the UAQTEA Time in ASC Radio and the Joint Information Dissemination Agreement, aimed at bolstering the advocacy and promotional initiatives within the Region.

This annual monitoring underscores the Regional Office’s dedication to ensuring the efficient and effective administration of financial assistance programs in the region.
