In line with its ongoing efforts to strengthen advocacy and promotional initiatives, CHED-UniFAST CAR is expanding its partnerships with local media outlets. This strategic move aims to enhance public understanding of Republic Act No. 10931, widely known as the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA). Through these collaborations, CHED-UniFAST CAR seeks to amplify its outreach efforts, ensuring that the transformative opportunities offered by UAQTEA reach a broader audience.

On April 24, 2025, CHED-UniFAST CAR formalized its partnership with Kalinga State University (KSU) through a ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement during its monitoring meeting with the university. Under the agreement, CHED-UniFAST CAR will be provided a dedicated one-hour semestral slot on KSU Online Radio for the airing of UAQTEA Time, a radio program designed to inform, engage, and inspire listeners by showcasing the benefits and success stories made possible through RA 10931.

The Memorandum of Agreement was signed by CHED-CAR Regional Director Atty. Septon A. De La Cruz and KSU President Dr. Joy Doctor. Serving as witnesses to the signing were CHED-UniFAST CAR Focal Person Dr. Bernadette C. Pal-ec and KSU Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Marilou B. Adora.

The pilot episode of UAQTEA Time aired the following day, April 25, 2025. Regional Coordinators Jezeny Laoyan, Jurcell Dilla, and Marife Calimodag served as resource persons, sharing insights into the objectives, key provisions, and opportunities under Republic Act No. 10931, including free higher education and financial assistance programs for students in higher education institutions.

A highlight of the episode was the inspiring story of Stephanie Denna, a graduate beneficiary of the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) program, who shared how the assistance she received enabled her to successfully complete her studies and pursue her professional aspirations. Her story stands as a testament to the transformative impact of UAQTEA in opening doors to a brighter future for Filipino youth.

Through initiatives like UAQTEA Time, CHED-UniFAST CAR remains committed to ensuring that the benefits of accessible, quality tertiary education reach every corner of the Cordillera Administrative Region and beyond.
