By: Sheila Mae Q. Andres (OJT)
On April 24, 2025, CHED-UniFAST CAR conducted an orientation for the new Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) beneficiaries enrolled in the University of the Cordilleras (UC).
Ms. Ana Grace Salibad, one of the Regional Coordinators of CHED-UniFAST CAR, outlined the roles and responsibilities of the new beneficiaries. The TES program is one of the major programs under Republic Act No. 10931, also known as the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA), aimed to provide financial assistance to eligible students, helping them cover educational expenses and reducing financial barriers to higher education.
She was joined by fellow Regional Coordinators, Ms. Danielle G. Galong and Ms. Jennylyn G. Pataras.
Ms. Ligaya Vindua, Registrar of UC, concluded the program with her closing remarks, encouraging the beneficiaries to make the most of this opportunity.
The orientation served as a vital platform for the new grantees to understand the benefits and expectations of the TES program, ensuring that they are well-equipped to maximize this opportunity for advancing their education. With the support and guidance from CHED-UniFAST CAR and the University of the Cordilleras, these students are set to embark on a promising academic journey that will contribute significantly to their tertiary education journey.
