CHED-UniFAST CAR Conducts Orientation for Beneficiaries of Pines City Colleges

Staying true to its mission of transforming lives through education, CHED-UniFAST CAR successfully conducted a comprehensive orientation for the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and Tulong Dunong Program (TDP-TES) beneficiaries of Pines City Colleges (PCC) on April 3, 2025, at the PCC campus along Magsaysay Road, Baguio City.

A total of 64 student beneficiaries attended the orientation, which aimed to provide vital information about their respective financial assistance programs under Republic Act No. 10931, also known as the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.

Ms. Jurcell V. Dilla, Regional Coordinator of CHED-UniFAST CAR, led the discussion on the TDP-TES, offering in-depth explanations on the program’s benefits, application processes, and responsibilities of the grantees. Following her was fellow Regional Coordinator, Ms. Marife B. Calimodag, who provided a detailed presentation on the TES program, emphasizing its role in supporting economically disadvantaged but deserving students.

Also supporting the activity was Ms. Jennylyn G. Pataras, who assisted in facilitating the session and ensuring a smooth flow of the event.

This orientation highlights the Regional Office’s steadfast commitment to promoting transparency and fostering student empowerment. By disseminating accurate and timely information regarding the financial assistance programs, CHED-UniFAST CAR reinforces its role in enabling beneficiaries to make informed decisions and pursue their academic endeavors with greater assurance and direction.
