CHED-UniFAST CAR successfully conducted an orientation for new beneficiaries of the Tulong Dunong Program under the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TDP-TES) at Easter College Inc. (ECI) on March 21, 2025. The session, held at ECI, Guisad Road, Baguio City, was attended by grantees from Batches 9.1 and 20.1, whose assistance takes effect in the 2nd Semester of Academic Year 2023-2024.
Ms. Jurcell V. Dilla, Regional Coordinator of CHED-UniFAST CAR, led the orientation, guiding the 29 student-grantees through their roles and responsibilities under the program. She was joined by fellow Regional Coordinator Ms. Precious Jane Amiten.
Following the session, grantees received their Notices of Award, marking the official start of their financial aid under the TDP-TES.
The Tulong Dunong Program (TDP-TES) is a component of the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) under Republic Act No. 10931, also known as the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA). The program provides ₱7,500 per regular semester to qualified, economically disadvantaged students, helping them cover tuition fees and other school-related expenses. This initiative aims to ease financial burdens, allowing grantees to focus on their academic aspirations.
