CHED-UniFAST CAR Conducts Monitoring Meetings with Abra HEIs

CHED-UniFAST CAR successfully conducted monitoring meetings with partner Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Abra Province from March 12-14, 2025.
The institutions visited included Data Center College of the Philippines – Bangued Abra, Abra Valley Colleges, Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology, and Divine Word College of Bangued.
Led by Ms. Jezeny O. Laoyan, Lead Regional Coordinator of CHED-UniFAST CAR, the team engaged with HEI representatives to assess the implementation of programs under the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA) and regional initiatives such as Project SAGIP. Discussions focused on the efficiency of liquidation and billing processes, the timely disbursement of allowances, and compliance with CHED-UniFAST CAR’s policies and projects.
Joining the monitoring team were Regional Coordinators Ms. Delaila Irma Calindas and Ms. Jurcell Dilla. The meetings were attended by HEI Presidents, Vice Presidents, Focal Persons, Accountants, Registrars, and Student Services Officers.
This annual monitoring activity underscores CHED-UniFAST CAR’s commitment to ensuring the smooth and effective implementation of financial assistance programs for students across the region.
