The Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR) participated in the National Orientation on the Implementing Guidelines of the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act, held at The Orchard Hotel, Baguio City, on November 7, 2024. This four-day event, organized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), gathered focal persons for solo parents from various regions, including Regions 1 to 5, the National Capital Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and MIMAROPA. The objective was to update participants on the latest developments in the implementing guidelines of Republic Act No. 11861 and highlight the privileges and support programs offered by other government agencies.
