CHED-CAR Successfully Conducts CAREERS Webinar Series

The Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR), through its UniFAST Unit, successfully held this year’s CAREERS Webinar Series on September 4-6, 2024. CAREERS, which stands for Cultivating Adaptation, Resilience, and Excellence for Enhanced Readiness and Success, aims to equip graduates as they transition into the professional world.

The three-day webinar series covered essential topics delivered by distinguished speakers:

  • “In the Eye of the HR: Packaging Self and Powerful Interview Pitch” by Ms. Maricris L. Neyney, Human Resource Development Officer, Benguet State University
  • “Employee or Employer: Compressed Labor Education” by Atty. Anthony A. Wooden Jr., Mediator-Arbiter, Department of Labor and Employment – Cordillera Administrative Region
  • “The Becoming of a Public Servant (Public Service Values)” by Mr. Eleazar B. Puguon, OIC-Chief Human Resource Specialist, Civil Service Commission – Cordillera Administrative Region
  • “Life-Learning-Work Balance” by Dr. Geraldine S. Orasing, Special Science Teacher, Philippine Science High School – CAR Campus
  • “Introduction to Financial Wellness” by Mr. Ben David S. Luis, President of the Benguet State University Alumni Association Inc.

The webinar series attracted a total of 632 participants, averaging 125 attendees per session, reflecting strong interest in the topics and the initiative’s value in preparing graduates for their career journey.

The CAREERS Webinar Series is part of CHED-CAR’s continuing effort to support and empower graduates as they enter the professional workforce, providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to excel.
