UniFAST Secretariat Staff Completes Onsite Liquidation Checking Visits in CAR SUCs

The CHED-CAR UniFAST Unit together with the UniFAST Secretariat Staff completed its round of onsite liquidation checking visits in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the Cordillera Administrative Region as it visited Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) today, April 28, 2023. Representatives of ASIST led by their supportive President, Dr. Gregorio Turqueza Jr., met with the staff to present and settle its compliance issues regarding its implementation of the programs under RA 10931 or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.
In two weeks, a total of six (6) SUCs were visited for the said activity. The results of the visits were beneficial for the smooth delivery of the programs under RA 10931, specifically the Free Higher Education and the Tertiary Education Subsidy Program.
Composing the UniFAST Secretariat Staff who visited ASIST were Ms. Jacquelyn Frias of the AdFin Unit, and Ms. Ma. Rona Manible and Ms. Diana Espares of the Billing Unit. They were accompanied by the CHED-CAR UniFAST Unit Representatives, Ms. Jezeny O. Laoyan, Project Technical Staff (PTS) III/Lead Regional Coordinator, and Ms. Mia Charisma B. Langpaoen, PTS II/Unit Accountant.
The team would like to thank ASIST, Mountain Province State Polytechnic College, Benguet State University, Kalinga State University, Apayao State College, and Ifugao State University for their support and cooperation in the successful conduct of the said monitoring activity.
