To ensure universal access to quality tertiary education in the Kalinga Province, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region UniFAST Unit completed the monitoring of Tertiary Education Subsidy Program (TES) and Tulong Dunong Program (TDP-TES) among the higher education institutions on February 08-09, 2023. 

Among the schools visited were Kalinga State University (KSU), Kalinga College of Science and Technology (KCST), International School of Asia and the Pacific – Kalinga (ISAP-Kalinga), Saint Louis College of Bulanao (SLCB), Saint Tonis College (STC), and Cordillera A+ Computer Technology (CA+CT). 

Dr. Bernadette C. Pal-ec, Education Supervisor II and UniFAST Focal Person, together with the team, met with the focal persons of each HEIs to address concerns pertaining to liquidation and billing, monitoring of beneficiaries, and adherence to the projects and programs spearheaded by the Regional Office and the Unit. 

The monitoring activity is an annual undertaking of the Unit to ensure the smooth delivery of programs under the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.
