100 TDP-TES Grantees of KSU Receive Allowance

100 grantees under the Tulong Dunong Program (TDP-TES) of Kalinga State University received their stipends for both semesters of School Year (SY) 2021-2022 and the first semester of SY 2022-2023 on April 18, 2023, at KSU Student Center, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga. Their stipend amounting to Php 7,500.00 per semester was given to aid the grantees with their tertiary education expenses.
Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan Jr, Director IV of the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR), together with Pres. Eduardo T. Bagtang of Kalinga State University (KSU) led the awarding ceremonies. In his message, Dir. Anduyan highlighted the tremendous support of the government for Filipino youth who are eager to finish their tertiary education. He also thanked the CHED Chair, Dr. J. Prospero De Vera III, for the possibility of the said financial assistance. The slots of the said grantees were granted by CHED Chair De Vera to the indigenous peoples of the Kalinga Province.
Also present during the awarding ceremony were presidents and representatives of the different State Universities and Colleges in the Region: Pres. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon of Ifugao State University (IFSU); Pres. Edgar G. Cue of Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC); Pres. Gregorio T. Turqueza Jr of Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST); Pres. John N. Cabansag of Apayao State College (ASC); and, Dr. Eugene S. Lumasok, Executive Dean of Benguet State University (BSU – Main Campus).
