With the objective to ensure the smooth implementation of the programs under UniFAST, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region UniFAST Unit completed visiting higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Abra Province on March 1-2, 2023. Among the schools visited were Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST), Abra Valley Colleges (AVC), Data Center College of the Philippines – Bangued (DCCP-Bangued), and Divine Word College of Bangued (DWCB).
Seventy-four (74) grantees from four higher education institutions (HEIs) in Abra namely Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST), Abra Valley Colleges (AVC), Data Center College of the Philippines – Bangued (DCCP-Bangued), and Divine Word College of Bangued (DWCB) attended the orientation program on Tulong Dunong Program (TDP-TES) on March 1, 2023, at Social Hall, ASIST, Bangued, Abra.
368 new grantees of the Tulong Dunong Program or TDP-TES under the Lone District of Baguio City attended the orientation of UniFAST programs conducted on February 25, 2023, at Baguio Central School, Baguio City.
To further improve the implementation of the programs under the Republic Act No. 10931 or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, the CHED-CAR UniFAST Team met with the representatives of the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College on February 23, 2023. Leading the team, Dr. Bernadette C. Pal-ec, Education Supervisor II and UniFAST Focal Person, discussed matters regarding the liquidation and billing, monitoring of beneficiaries, and adherence to the projects and programs spearheaded by the Regional Office and the Unit.
As part of its commitment to champion accessible and relevant education services in the Cordillera, the CHED-CAR UniFAST Team led by Dr. Bernadette C. Pal-ec, Education Supervisor II and the UniFAST Focal Person, visited Mountain Province for the conduct of the orientation for the new grantees for the Tulong Dunong Program or TDP-TES on February 23, 2023. Held at Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC), a total of 151 new TDP-TES grantees attended the orientation program wherein provisions regarding their financial assistance were thoroughly presented. Adherence to the project initiatives of the Regional Office like the SEEDLING Project and Project SAGIP was also conveyed.
