
Bringing together key partners in student financial assistance, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR) UniFAST Unit convened its First Quarter Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Coordination Meeting with partner higher education institutions (HEIs) on March 24, 2026, at The Orchard Hotel, Baguio City. The quarterly meeting is a regular gathering of the Unit which aims to assess program implementation, review accomplishments and challenges, strengthen coordination with partner HEIs, and set strategic directions to further enhance the delivery of UniFAST programs in the region.

The CHED-CAR UniFAST Unit marked another milestone in its advocacy and information dissemination initiatives with the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the implementation of the UAQTEA Time Program on Radio Kabinnulig of the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST).

The Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR), led by Officer-in-Charge Regional Director Dr. Serafin L. Ngohayon, successfully conducted its Calendar Year (CY) 2026 Target-Setting and First Semester Catch-Up Review on March 19, 2026, at Paragon Hotel, Baguio City. The activity aimed to assess the Regional Office’s performance during the first semester and to align targets and commitments for the rest of the year with the Commission’s strategic directions.

The Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED‑CAR), led by Officer‑in‑Charge Regional Director Serafin L. Ngohayon, held a coordination meeting with representatives of the Congressional District of Baguio on March 16, 2026, at CHED-CAR Regional Office, La Trinidad, Benguet.

In a dynamic celebration of National Fire Prevention Month and National Women’s Month, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR), through its UniFAST Unit, launched the first session of its Skills Enhancement and Employee Development (SEED) Project FY 2026, equipping personnel with essential fire safety awareness and practical skills on March 12, 2026.
