As part of its recalibrated implementation of Project PEPA in the Cordillera Administrative Region, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR), through its UniFAST Unit, turned over 8,000 copies of brochures on Republic Act 10931, or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA), along with 1,000 flyers on the Bagong Pilipinas Merit Scholarship Program. These information, education, and communication (IEC) materials are intended for distribution to Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries, particularly those transitioning to higher education or technical-vocational pathways.

The IEC materials were formally turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development – CAR through its 4Ps Division, headed by Ms. Fatima Florendo, with Ms. Fe Biba of the 4Ps Regional Advisory Council Secretariat also in attendance.

In addition, a portion of the UAQTEA brochures was distributed to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Offices (MSWDOs) of Lagawe and Lamut in Ifugao during the visit of UniFAST Unit Regional Coordinators for the conduct of UAQTEA Time sessions in the province.

Project PEPA, or Patuloy na Edukasyon, Patuloy na Pag-Ahon, is an education campaign designed to support 4Ps beneficiaries transitioning to higher education or technical-vocational programs in Academic Year 2026–2027. Its implementation was recalibrated in line with the national government’s austerity measures. In partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the Department of Education (DepED), and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), CHED-UniFAST remains committed to helping beneficiaries pursue their education and improve their opportunities for a better future.
