CHEDans and TES Focals Advance Their Business Writing Skills in SEED 2023 Series Episode 1

The Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR) held the first episode of the 2023 series of the SEED Project or the Skills Enhancement and Employee Development Project on March 09, 2023, via Zoom platform. A total of 95 participants composed of the CHED-CAR personnel, TES Focal Persons from various Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Region, as well as on-the job training students being designated in the Regional Office attended the said episode which dealt with the topic “Advanced Business Writing Skills.”
Serving as the Resource Person, Dr. Ma. Jhona B. Acuña, Associate Professor of the Philippine Normal University, guided the participants on how they can better enhance their business writing skills to be able to produce effective and professional written communications. In her lecture, she emphasized the A-B-C of business writing which denotes Abstract, Body, and Conclusion as the fundamental guide on making a clear and concise business writing.
A short workshop was administered during the session wherein participants were grouped and tasked to finish a letter and a memo. Outputs of the groups were presented and critiqued afterwards.
The SEED Project is an initiative of the CHED-CAR UniFAST Unit under the leadership of Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan Jr, Director IV, with the support of the HR Office headed by Ms. Prisilla T. Panangwe, Chief Administrative Officer, which aims to promote excellence in client service through the provision of learning and development programs for its employees and UniFAST Focal Persons from its partner HEIs in the Region.
